Remember, process improvement isn't a quick fix. It takes time, patience, and persistence. But the benefits are well worth the effort. It also doesn't only apply to business. It applies to your social life as well. Before takng a step to improve a process - walk the full process.

What is ITSM? IT Service Management is...

IT Service Management is where I spend my working hours. ITSM, as us industry-geeks refer to it, is basically this: how IT teams manage the delivery of their services within an organization. This touches on process, creation, delivery, roadmaps, obstacle navigation and so much more. Basically, it’s how we make things happen in tech and how we translate that to the others that aren’t in IT.

What many don’t know is that I didn’t start off in IT at all. My background and PhD is in Organization Development. My passion is process. And that passion can apply to all sorts of industries. IT is just simply where I recently landed for the last 5 years at Honeywell, where I’ve led global teams of 30+ people on numerous projects that are all exciting and invigorating; even when mundane.

What makes my job impactful/inspiring? The fact that I get to help people realize their career goals and also their personal and professional dreams. In this current role, my teams help IT Service Owners deliver the services that enable them to keep Honeywell as the most amazing company to work for, hands down!
